Vallentin was born and raised in the village of Tailfeather, spending his childhood learning hunting and chocobo rearing. He grew a fondness for the birds quite easily, spending quite a bite of time with them as opposed to other people. This lead to him being a quieter person, a little awkward at times. He enjoyed the company of others, but found words to be difficult; much preferring to show his feeling through actions.Due to his awkwardness and aversion to others he was teased through his childhood and teenage years. It was during one of these instances that the other teens of Tailfeather decided to play a prank on Vallentin; setting off firecrackers near the chocobo stables while he was doing his chores. In the ensuing chaos caused by a stable of frightened fowl, Val was knocked down and had his hand trampled, shattering the fingers of his right hand.Despite an easy recovery, Vallentin's fingers were unable to draw a bow properly. Unwilling to be deterred, he forced himself to learn to draw a bow with his left hand.He left Tailfeather when he was 23, wanting to see more than the simple village for the rest of his life. For a small period he stayed in Ishgard; a place so familiar and yet so utterly alien to his upbringing. Of course he knew much about Ishgardians... He'd never, however, really put stock into the stories of how utterly unbearable they were. He learned this unfortunate truth quick enough; and he left not long before they shuttered their gates after the battle of Cartineau.

Chocobos he grew up in tailfeather and spent much of his youth learning to carefully rear the birds. his own bird, Roti, is his pride and joy.
His life as a Scion how did someone who is so desperately in need of peace and quiet choose to join a group that seems to be constantly getting into something?
His awful luck chances are you will see it in action, anyway.
Is he lost today? Whenever Val goes anywhere, he tends to get turned around. Quick walks turn into days long journeys trying to figure out where he is.
